Accessorizing with Hats

Lately, I’ve really been into hats. It’s not often that I get to wear them (women’s hats that is), unless my hair is straightened or in braids (natural/big hair problems). Sometimes, I’m able to combat the issue of not being able to fit my hair in most women’s hats, by borrowing my husband’s hats, which are typically larger. He has great taste and is pretty stylish, so it works wonderfully! This navy, white and gray hat is so cute! Not only do I love the colors, but also I love the pom-pom detail on the side of the hat. I found this beauty at Anthropologie. It was 40% off $50, which was a great deal! Since I currently have braids, I figured it was the perfect time to wear this hat. I decided to pair it with a simple outfit consisting of jeans, a white blouse, boots and my gray wool coat, making the hat the statement piece. We all know that hats are great to wear when you’re having a bad hair day, but they’re also great to wear when you want to make a simple outfit look more stylish with minimum effort. I’m hoping to add more hats to my collection in the near future, a bright red fedora, a black beret and a few others. My goal is to have hats that I can wear during all seasons.Do you like to accessorize with hats? Let me know in the comments below!
