3rd Trimester Recap

The start of the 3rd trimester meant that things were getting real! Overall, I’d say that this trimester was better than the first, but not quite better than the second. My cravings pretty much remained the same throughout this time. The only difference is that I began to eat eggs and bananas again. The tiredness from the weight gain was on another level. My feet and ankles were super swollen to the point where I only wore one pair of sneakers. There were also days where I experienced swelling in my hands. The leg cramps at night continued from the second trimester. As my belly got bigger and I approached the end of my pregnancy journey, I began to experience lower back and pelvic pain. One thing that caught me by surprise was the extreme nipple pain. I was told that they were “getting ready for battle” and that definitely was not a lie lol. This trimester I started to experience indigestion at night. I’m told that that means your baby will have a lot of hair. My husband and I both have an abundance of hair and I’m certain that baby boy will have the same. I will say the pregnancy brain was stronger than ever this trimester. It was hard for me to remember what I wanted to say on so many occasions. I’m hoping to improve in that regard. If you’ve been following along for a while, you may know that I’ve had issues with high blood pressure. Towards the end of the third trimester, my blood pressure began to creep up. My doctor told me that this could happen, considering my history. As a precaution, I was induced at 39 weeks, 1 day.
