How to Wear Denim on Denim
Denim is a wardrobe staple and I'm certain most people have some type of denim garment in their closets. The denim on denim trend has been pretty popular for some time now, so I wanted to show you all how I style denim on denim. I decided on a blue denim top and blue denim jeans but you could definitely choose a denim jacket or vest and pair it with a denim skirt or pair of shorts.In my opinion, the key to being successful with this trend without looking tacky is to ensure that your denim pieces are in similar color families. As you can see, although the denim top has different shades of blue (light and dark), in addition to a pattern, the main color in the top closely resembles the overall color of my jeans, which in turn, pulls the look together.Another way one could style denim on denim could be to pair a denim top with a colored (black, green, red, etc.) denim bottom.
