18 Months With Sisterlocks

Can y’all believe it’s been over a year and a half since I got my sisterlocks? Time moves! I don’t have too much to say about my experience that’s wildy different from my previous posts. Choosing sisterlocks is still one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. Having hair freedom has allowed me to use the time I’d usually spend on my hair, for things more important. My hair is thriving, and I love that for me.

One thing that I’m really proud of is the amount of women who have expressed interest in sisterlocks. I think we’re definitely seeing a shift in the natural hair community where many are ditching the long wash days that often come with loose natural hair, for the convenience and freedom that sisterlocks or any lock styles provide.

I get questions all the time about my sisterlocks, and I’m proud to say that I’ve influenced others to get them. Both of my sisters now have sisterlocks, and I couldn’t be more surprised and excited! I will continue to keep you all updated on my sisterlocks journey, and maybe I can share some of theirs too.
