Explore the Arts at The Goodman Theatre
The Goodman Theatre has a rich history in Chicago. It was founded by Kenneth Sawyer Goodman and is celebrating 99 years in business. During our time in the city, we enjoyed seeing August Wilson’s, “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone”. Directed by Chuck Smith, the play is about a man who learns to appreciate his heritage and discover his identity while on a journey with his daughter to find his estranged wife.
Check out the World’s Largest Starbucks
Chicago is home to the world’s largest Starbucks. Located on the Magnificent Mile, this Starbucks is five stories high, 35,000 square feet and features eight 56-foot-tall copper tubes that transport the coffee beans throughout each floor. The menu consists of a variety of coffees, cocktails and food options. Tip- Get there early because there will be a line.
Shop on Michigan Avenue
If you’re a fashion girl, you will love visiting the shops on Michigan Avenue. Known as the Magnificent Mile, it consists of over 430 retailers to include Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Zara, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and more. The Magnificent Mile is the best shopping experience in Chicago.
