In a few days summer will be officially over, so I wanted to share one last summer look until it’s time to do it again next year! I wore this outfit last weekend while out and about with my fiancé’. It was super hot so I knew I needed to wear something lightweight that would keep me cool. I went in my closet and decided to wear this printed maxi skirt. This skirt is special because I got it from JC Penney a couple years ago for about $5. It’s a size small and was a bit tight in the waist when I purchased it. I took it to my tailor and he let out the waist about an inch or so. For under $10 I was good to go!Since the maxi skirt has a busy print, I decided to pair it with a simple black tank and black sandals. To bring out some color from the skirt, I added this red quilted leather cross body bag I purchased for $10 from a local vintage store. It’s a bit worn, but I thought it was adorable, and for $10, I knew leaving it in the store would be sinful! For those of you who think it costs a ton of money to look nice, you’re wrong! All you need to do is shop smart by purchasing your pieces on sale, especially trendy items. You can spend more on foundation pieces that can be worn throughout the seasons, year after year. Also, it’s so important to have a good tailor or seamstress who can help with the fit of your clothes. Sometimes when we buy clothing off the racks, the shape of the garment may not always be perfect. Investing in good tailoring is key. When shopping, is affordability important to you?
