3 Reasons Why You Should Take Smart Risks
Here are 3 reasons why you should take smart risks.1. It’s never going to be perfect, so go ahead and start.2. You don’t care about what others think.3. Life is to be lived now.Life is all about taking risks, right? We often tell ourselves that, but do we really believe it enough to actually take risks or do we sit around in fear waiting on something to magically happen? If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll recall that I’m a shy person. I started reading fashion blogs in 2010 and knew it was something I wanted to do. Unfortunately, I sat on the idea for a while. On March 1, 2013, I finally started CKC but didn’t tell many people (outside of close family) about my blog until nearly two years after I started it. Why? Because in my head everything had to be perfect and as an introvert I was nervous and too concerned of what people would think. It wasn’t until January of 2015 when I signed up for a blogging boot camp course, that I was forced to share my blog with others. I’m so glad I took the risk of starting CKC because now what started as a hobby has turned into a growing part-time business! It’s been about a year since I started promoting my blog, and things have been great. I’ve learned so much about the business of blogging and have met so many wonderful people along the way. Although things have been going really well, they haven’t been perfect, and I’m totally okay with that because nothing is ever going to be perfect. It’s called life and we must learn how to “roll with the punches”. Another great thing I’ve learned to do is focus on my journey, trying my best not to compare my path with others while simultaneously not being concerned with other peoples’ opinions. We only get one life, and it’s important to live it responsibly, leaving a positive impact everywhere we go.Imagine how things would be had I continued to blog, not telling anyone about it for fear of what people would think or fear of needing everything to be perfect? Things definitely wouldn’t be where they are now! If you’ve had a desire to try something new, whether it’s a new career, sport, etc., I encourage you to go for it! Don’t sit around in fear of what others may say or think because that’s none of your concern. Also, don’t wait for everything to be perfect. As long as you have prayed about it and have a great plan, focus on you and watch everything fall into place. Enjoy your life and take smart risks! Are you a risk taker?
